Welcome to Caliber Club 2.0 studios, Switzerland!

Story

​You can still find the original Caliber Club on Spitalgasse in Bern, where you can see contemporary musicians and bands going in and out. This is where, in addition to many other productions, almost all recordings for both labels “nicrecords” and “Pro Stata Records, Warszawa, Polska” come from. The original studio was bought for the most part in 2014-16 and integrated into Caliber Club 2.0. The new studio also loans other important peripheral elements.

About the studio

Caliber Club 2.0 was planned and built in spring 2016 by the Schornoz brothers. The recording studio of just 60 m2 is designed as a hybrid studio, the focus being on the connection and use of high-quality analogue and digital technology.

Recording room and control room are located in a cosy wooden building with daylight irradiation. The studio is easily accessible by public transport. There are also numerous parking spaces around the building.

Additional isolation work was carried out in summer 2019. Recording room 2 was completely expanded. In 2021, Julien Menth joined as an additional producer. In 2022, producer and musician Vlatios also joined the team.

Rooms and equipment

Recording room cabin:

Closed cabin (2x2 m2) with soundproof glass door and view to the control room. Ideal for vocals, acoustic instruments or guitar or bass amplifier recordings.

 

Recording room room 2 (daylight):

Open, separated room. Ideal for placing drums, guitar or bass amplifiers and other musicians. Also suitable as a rehearsal room, for meetings or even as a bedroom, with seating (sofa).

 

Direction (daylight):

Open room with seating for listening to recordings (sofa, etc.). View/access to recording room cabin and view to 2nd recording room through a window.

Terms and conditions

Orders: An order becomes legally valid upon our order confirmation. All orders are fully and exclusively subject to our terms and conditions. Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid with our express written consent. Contrary to or to the contrary, our terms and conditions of our customers do not invalidate our terms and conditions.
Offers: Unless an express period of validity is specified in the offer, our offers are valid for a limited time in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations. We reserve the copyright to all offers, cost estimates and drafts, developments, proposed solutions, etc.


Prices: All prices are quoted free of charge, excluding packaging and insurance. All price information on price lists and brochures is non-binding and subject to change. If price changes occur in the course of processing an order as a result of excessive currency fluctuations, increases in customs duties or other fiscal burdens, we reserve the right to adjust the price.


Deliveries: Delivery takes place when the goods leave our premises. Risk then passes and the payment period begins. In all cases, the transport risk shall be borne by the purchaser even if we assume transport and/or insurance costs. Packaging shall be carried out with the utmost care at cost. In the event of transport damage, even if the packaging is intact, the recipient of the consignment must immediately initiate a claim for damage and claims for damages must be asserted against the transport company.


Delivery dates: Delivery dates are carefully determined by us. We will always endeavour to adhere to them under all circumstances, but are generally unable to guarantee delivery dates and therefore accept contractual penalties for late deliveries.

Complaints: Complaints will only be considered within 5 days of receipt of the goods. Warranty claims asserted by the purchaser do not release him from compliance with his contractual obligations towards us. In particular, they do not entitle him to demand a suspension of payment for the period of failure or reduction in performance of the purchased item.


Payment: Invoices are payable within 30 days net of the invoice date. The delivered goods remain the property of nicstage GmbH until full payment has been made. In the event of resale of our goods, you are obliged to transfer the retention of title to your buyer. During the execution of productions, nicstage GmbH has the right to charge for the demonstrably rendered services. If an order is cancelled less than 5 working days before the agreed date, the customer may be invoiced for 50% of the reserved time, provided that it is no longer possible to utilise other orders. In the event of default in payment, we will charge 1% default interest per month from the 31st day after the invoice date and reserve the right to change the payment terms at any time in the event of default. Withholding payments and offsetting against claims not acknowledged by us is not permitted.


Warranty: Our warranty extends from the day of delivery to all defects occurring within the applicable warranty period, insofar as these are demonstrably caused by material defects or defective production. The warranty only extends to defective components and not to labour and transport costs, fees, etc. Indirect and direct follow-up costs and loss of profit are also excluded. In the event of a warranty replacement, the goods – if available – will be delivered ex warehouse, otherwise after production. It is up to us to decide whether the defective goods will be repaired, replaced or, if necessary, taken back for remuneration. 
In the event of improper use or handling by the customer or third parties, natural wear and tear, excessive strain, non-compliance with regulations, incorrect maintenance, improper storage and similar cases, we shall not be liable.


Liability:  Downtime caused by any malfunctions of the equipment or by force majeure during the recording period will not be invoiced to the customer, but we shall not be liable for any other damage or costs incurred as a result. We shall not be liable for damage or loss of our customers’ archived or stored sound recordings, as well as other items such as musical instruments, cloakrooms, etc. The lessee assumes full liability for the material rented by us. We shall transfer all liability for any misuse of products purchased from us to our customer in full.


Copyrights and intellectual property rights: For the duplication and publication of sound and data carriers as well as visual material, etc., we require that the customer has the consent of the author. The customer is personally responsible for any resulting discrepancies or claims for damages.


Place of jurisdiction: Swiss law shall apply exclusively to any disputes. The place of jurisdiction for both parties is our domicile.
